SUMMARY:
This is an entry-level labor maintenance position, which requires the ability to perform manual labor on all types of railroad cars using hand tools, (such as hammers, pry bars, torches and wrenches). Other specific duties can include welding, burning, fabrication, preventative maintenance and inspection of all types of railroad cars. New employees should expect to work outdoors in industrial settings, in all weather conditions, and the position will require the ability to perform a considerable amount of walking and climbing at times. Car inspectors can expect to work all three shifts as seniority dictates. Experienced railroad car inspectors are also encouraged to apply.
