SUMMARY: This is an entry-level electrical laborer position that requires the ability to perform strenuous work using hand tools, (such as pick and shovel) while assisting Signal Maintainers in the construction, wiring and troubleshooting of railroad signal and crossing systems. This position works outdoors in an industrial setting in all types of weather conditions and requires the ability to perform a considerable amount of walking. The hours of work are generally 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, however, candidates may be required to work all shifts as seniority dictates. Job assignments will vary between Gary, IN and Joliet, IL. |

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: All candidates must have a valid driver's license and a Class A CDL license is a plus. |

QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED: Two years of electrical maintenance experience preferred with an Associates degree in electrical engineering and/or equivalent trade school. |
