SUMMARY: This is an entry-level transportation position working outdoors in industrial settings year-round. The position entails a considerable amount of walking and climbing on and off heavy equipment. It also requires the ability to perform strenuous work, such as operating manual track switches, coupling air hoses, and setting and releasing hand brakes on railroad cars; and, occasional lifting up to 80 lbs. may be required. Train service employees will eventually be progressed to operating a locomotive; they can expect to work days, afternoons and weekends. |

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: All candidates must have a valid driver's license. A high school diploma or the equivalent is required. |

QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED: Previous experience in operation of heavy equipment operation with a solid knowledge of diesel pneumatic and electrical/mechanical systems is a plus. |
